Op 14 juli gaat \u2018het licht erop\u2019: dan wordt ons allereerste glasvezelnetwerk actief in het proefgebied Eexterzandvoort \/ Gieterzandvoort. De internetsnelheid stijgt daar van \u2013 in de slechtste gevallen \u2013 1 Mbps via adsl naar minimaal 200 Mbps up-en downloadsnelheid via glasvezel. Een nog ongekende vooruitgang voor een buitengebied als dit, waarmee een heel spectrum aan nieuwe technologische mogelijkheden binnen handbereik ligt voor bewoners en bedrijven.
